It has a dedicated wastegate valve and vacuum actuator diaphragm in order to maintain boost pressure. Internal components are rotated with high speeds, and this is susceptible to contamination that could cause serious damage in case the dirt particles hit the turbine blades. To avoid early failure or damage precautions are to ensure that the engine is not operated with bare parts, air inlet ducts are covered, to ensure that the engine is not raced with oil not flowing, to ensure that an engine is maintained on schedule by changing oil filters and oil used, to ensure that the unions of the oil pipes are clean before disconnection and to store dismantled parts to ensure in closed containers.
