How to replace the fuel pressure regulator on Audi A4?

The process is only applicable to June of 2003 and 3.0L V6 models of 3.0L except that the pressure regulator of that model is an inseparable part of the fuel filter, and thus cannot be separated. Start by taking the cover off the engine and de-pressurize the system fuel. The second step is to unscrew the vacuum hose connected to the fuel pressure regulator and once the retaining clip is removed, the pressure regulator is removed off the fuel rail. Also make sure to change the O-ring seals to the pressure regulator, the small O-ring seal does not show but it might still be under the fuel rail and as such, it ought to be taken off and disposed of. Wipe the new O-rings with a film of engine oil and put them on the regulator. Plug the regulator into the fuel rail, making sure that it is not going to be overly inserted, and then fit the retaining clip. After connecting the vacuum hose back to the regulator, turn on the engine, and inspect leaks then lastly fit engine cover.
