How to disconnect and replace the knock sensor on 2006 Audi A4?

Unplug the cable on the negative battery terminal. In four-cylinder models, disconnect the electrical connector of the knock sensor and delete the intake manifold. Unscrew the sensor that is held by a fastener and pull off the sensor. Installation is the opposite, making sure that it is tightened correctly so as not to present performance problems. With V6 models, do the same thing.
