    Q: How to remove the front bumper and intercooler on Audi 100?

    Removal of front bumper The engine undershield is removed first followed by the air cleaner assembly. The second step would be to loosen the clips and release the two air hoses out of the intercooler, namely, the Atr hose linkage in the case of the 1Z engine. Take out the intercooler small hose support, then unscrew and take out the rear mounting bolt of the intercooler of the 1Z engine. On 1Z and AHU models of engines, reduce the height of the rear of the intercooler, disconnect it to the front mounting rubbers and pull it downwards. In case of AAT, ABP and AEL engine models, the intercooler is located under the body, which must be removed by unscrewing the front mounting bolts. The refitting is merely an inverse procedure of the removal procedures.
