How to remove and refit the ignition switch and steering lock/switch carrier on 2015 Audi A3?

Removal of the ignition switch requires taking off the battery, steering wheel and column adjustment handle. Unbucket the shrouds, unscrew the ignition switch plug and pull away the lock cylinder by using a wire. In case of refitting, perform the reversal and make sure that everything is fastened and reconnect the battery.
