How to remove and refit the oil pan for 4-cylinder petrol engines on 1994 Audi 100?

In order to lift the engine out, use the handbrake, jack up the front and stand on axle stands. Remove the engine oil, withdraw dipstick and hold engine with a hoist. Take out the transmission cover and engine mounting nuts. Clean pump and block, install new gasket, and tighten bolts. Install parts and add oil to the oil pan.
