How to replace the fuel filter in the engine compartment on 1993 Audi 100?

The right hand side of the engine compartment is where the Fuel Filter is found. Put cloth rags under it to ensure that spilled fuel gets absorbed. Record position of the filter, loosen union bolts, and take out the filter. Install the new filter such that the arrow of the flow direction is without doubt towards the engine and then connect the hoses.
