Remove the glove box and the screw clip retainer for the foam covering, then fold the foam covering away and off to the side. Next, remove the screws and cover. Disconnect the harness connector from the blower motor, then pull the blower motor carrier downwards and out of the housing. For the early version of the blower fan, remove the screw and slide the blower fan out of the carrier, noting that the carrier may have a sound insulation pad, with only the late version available for replacement. For the late version, depress the retainer clips and slide the blower fan out of the carrier. Install in reverse order of removal, ensuring that when re-installing the blower fan to the carrier, the mounting lugs are aligned and that the blower fan is properly seated in the housing.
