In order to take out the interior door handle, begin by removing the door inner trim panel, then unscrew the screws inside and take the door handle off. To access the retaining screw, the front door lock cylinder housing, open the door and unclipped the rubber grommet. When unlocking the screw that retains the door handle, pull the door handle out of the door whilst also undone until it does not rotate further, and not beyond. Then, remove the lock cylinder housing in the door handle and reconnect the handle to the starting position. Unclip plastic trim cover of the end of the lock cylinder, should the need arise. Once the door inner trim panel has been removed as well as the door lock cylinder housing, the window glass/frame and the plastic cover of the door panel, unclips the lock operating cable. Unplug the top of the operating rod to the door handle unit and unclip the plastic security cover of the door lock assembly. Liberate the securing clip and unconnect the lower end of the operating rod with the lock assembly and record the position in which it was installed. Unwelded the rubber grommet and screwdriver to disassemble the locking clip of the rear of the door handle unit, and remove the outer door handle of the mounting bracket. Unscrew the 2 lock mounting bolts and remove the lock assembly including the door handle mounting bracket by removing the wiring connector in the process. As required, unscrew the securing clip and looseness of the plastic trim cover on the door handle. To refit, ensure that the interior door handle is re-fit by attaching it again and using the screws to hold it in place, reconnect the wiring connector and re-fix the door trim panel. Plug the lock cylinder housing in the door, and slide it into position, making sure that it snaps into place, and the outer handle lies against the door panel and screws in the Trox. Install the grommet once more in order to cover the screw and verify the lock functionality and close the door. In the case of a door lock assembly, the process of refitting is opposite of the removal process when it is necessary to place the operating rod and the flexible cable drive to the correct position, reconnect the wiring connector, and securely tight all the bolts. Lastly, re-install the window glass/ frame and lock cylinder housing, and ensure that it works properly before affixing the door trim panel on it.
