Then unpack the pump by sliding out the insulation packing on the right-hand side of the vehicle out of its retaining strap, then unconnect the vacuum hose and the wiring connector and remove the pump. The lock actuators are interconnected and cannot be replaced separately as each door has its own lock assembly. The boot lid lock actuator on the saloon involves removing the inner trim panel, which is then loosened by loosening the retaining screws followed by the removal of the retaining clip and sliding out the pin which holds the actuator in place with the operating rod. Unscrew the retaining screws, unscrew the actuator to the vacuum hose and then pull it out of the boot lid. On the tailgate lock actuator of the estate models remove the tailgate trim panel, unscrew the retaining clip, unscrew the operating rod, then unscrew the retaining screws removing the actuator and at the same time disconnecting the vacuum hose. You will need to remove the right-hand trim of the luggage compartment, wiring, loosen the retaining screws, and slide the actuator forward to take out the electric door lock actuator. With tailgate lock actuator, just remove it. To reach the anti-theft alarm horn, turn off the ignition, engage the handbrake, lift the front of the car, use axle stands to support the car, remove the right-hand front roadwheel, the wheel arch liner, drill the pop rivets fastening the horn, and unscrew the wiring. In the case of the bonnet contact switch there is the bonnet lock which needs to be pulled out and the switch is pushed in the slotted holes. To change the remote control transmitter battery, a screwdriver is needed to separate the transmitter unit and the key, open the covers, and scrape out the battery, taking note of the orientation.
