Remove top engine cover(s) and the cover above the air filter housing. Loosen or remove turbo ram air duct clamps and remove air duct mounting fasteners, then lift off the air duct. Wrap a shop towel around fuel connections, disconnect fuel supply and return lines, and move fuel lines clear. Disconnect the hose from the fuel tank evaporative control valve. Working at the right side of the engine, disconnect the electrical connector from the mass air flow sensor and the electrical connectors from ignition output stages, moving the wiring clear. Remove the air filter housing, loosen fasteners, and remove the cover panel from the right cylinder head cover. At the right side of the engine, disconnect a hose, loosen a hose clamp, detach the upper section of the intake line, and plug the lower section of the intake line. Remove the bolt securing the timing belt guard from the cylinder head cover, disconnect electrical connectors from ignition coils, and remove the coils. For the 2.8-liter engine, remove spark plug wires, detach the crankcase breather from the cylinder head cover, and remove the cylinder head cover. Installation is reverse of removal, replacing the cylinder head cover gasket and spark plug well gasket, sealing end points of joints between bearing caps and cylinder head with a small quantity of sealant at four end points, and tightening cylinder head cover fasteners in a crisscross pattern, starting from the middle fasteners.
