Remove the air intake duct from the
Radiator support panel and the air cleaner housing. Raise the vehicle and support it securely on jackstands, then remove the splash shield from below the engine. Place the radiator support panel in the service position. For 1.8L models, drain the coolant and remove the radiator. Disconnect the electrical connector(s) from the cooling fan(s), noting that the wiring harness is held in place by cable ties that may need to be cut for disconnection. Remove the cooling fan shroud fasteners and take out the assembly. Remove the cooling fan motor fasteners and detach the fan from the shroud. If the fan blades or motor are damaged, they can be replaced by removing the fan blade from the motor. The remainder of installation follows the reverse of the removal procedure; for 1.8L models, refill and bleed the system, then run the engine and check carefully for leaks.
