How to remove and clean the air filter and its housing on Audi A4?

Take out the fresh air intake ducts, by lifting up and removing the duct off the air filter housing, making sure that any snow screen that may be there is cleared. In 3.0L engines, de-purge the intake air duct EVAP canister valve. Unclamp the hose and remove it on the air filter housing and when necessary, remove the smaller hose at the front of the filter housing. Disconnect the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor electrical connector in case the model has one on the air filter housing. In the case of 3.2L V6, detach the fuel line of the air filter housing without clipping. Take off fasteners holding the upper part of the filter housing, raise upwards and take off the air filter element and clean the inside of the air filter housing using a damp cloth. Installation is in the opposite sequence of uninstallation.
