To install the window winder motor, make the window completely closed and strip off the inner trim panel and then remove the window frame out of the door so that the motor can be removed easily. Seal the glass on the window so that it will not fall when the motor is removed. In case the motor is being removed where the window frame still is in place, loosen the wiring connector of the motor. Unscrew the screws holding the motor to the regulator mechanism, take off the motor, taking great care not to scratch the paint on the door frame. To refit, position the motor into the regulator mechanism and fix it using the retaining screws by tightening them in a diagonal manner and evenly and gradually until they are firmly attached. Reattach the wiring connector to the motor and remove the tape on the glass then reattach the window frame should it have been taken off. Reinstall the battery and window switch and test the functionality of the window before reinstalling the trim panel. To use models equipped with a safety system, turn the ignition on and off, make the window as wide open as possible, press the switch in position as long as one second, then press the switch in the open position to be sure that the window is open. After the window is functioning properly re-connect the inner trim panel.
