How to disconnect and remove a Windshield Wiper Motors on 1987 Audi 4000?

Take the negative battery lead off and the pushrods out of the wiper motor crank. It consists of marking the position of the crank, unscrewing the nut and dismantling the crank. Disassemble the wiper motor by removing the unbolts and disconnect the wires. To refit, reverse the procedure and run the new motor a little to get it in place.
