Disengage the negative (-) terminal of the battery. Take away engine sound absorbing panels - upper and front. As described before take out the battery and the battery tray. For automatic cars detach harness connectors under the starter motor. Remove the harness connector and unbolt the positive (B+) cable from starter solenoid. Remove the wire guide from the bracket by unclipping it and sliding it off to the side. Take out the mounting bolt and bracket; then remove the starter's upper mounting bolt. If required, remove the bolt and relocate the power steering lines from the area. Take out the starter and the bolt at the bottom. If necessary, replace the starter bushing in the transmission housing. The starter should be installed in the opposite order of removal, with all fasteners properly tightened.
