How to remove and reinstall the complete front strut assembly, including Coil Springs on Audi TT Quattro?

Detach the entire assembly of the front strut. Using a coil spring compressor with the appropriate fittings, compress the coil spring until the upper spring seat is free. Use the setup shown to take off the inner nut; ratchet handle/driver, T10001/8 hex key (7 mm), T10001/11 driver handle, T10001/5 special socket (21 mm) or special tool 3186, VAG 1752/1 spring compressor and VAG 1752/4 adapter in the picture. To turn the outer strut nut, one can use either a special offset box wrench or a special 21 mm socket while holding the strut shaft with a 7 mm hex wrench instead of the special tool previously listed. Ensure the coil spring is seated correctly in the foam enclosure. Remove the suspension strut components in an orderly manner. Inspect them for wear and damage, especially the upper suspension strut mounts, bump stops and the protection boots. When you are reinstalling the coil spring, position the end of the coil against the stop in the lower spring seat in the strut. As you de-compress the spring, ensure the end of the coil remains in the correct location. Whenever a coil spring is to be replaced, check the paint marks on the coils which help in identifying the coil and in fitting the coil accurately. The reverse of disassembly is the installation at the prescribed tightening torques.
