- Q:How to remove and install the Window Motor (window regulator motor) on Audi TT?A:The view is the back side of the subframe facing the door skin. Unplug the harness connector, remove three Torx bolts, and pull the Motor out to remove & install the window regulator motor. Tighten the bolts to 3 Nm (27 in-lb) plus 0.5 Nm (4 in-lb) using a torque wrench. It is possible to remove and install the window motor with the glass in any position. After the repair, activate the automatic window lifting and lowering functions. In relation to the position of the window regulator cable, the window regulator is to be installed with the cable guide on the inside of the subframe (that is, toward the door sheet metal) and the cable guide must be on the outside of the subframe, connecting to the motor. Finally connect the cable guide to the hook.
