Close the convertible top by removing the center, left, and right rear trim panels. With the gas-filled strut extended and the top closed, pry the strut from the upper and lower ball studs. Tighten the ball studs to 23 Nm when installing, ensuring the washer is positioned under the ball stud during installation. The main bearing for the convertible top is identified, and the rubber washer must be pushed onto the lower ball stud before installing the gas-filled strut.
