- Q: How to remove and install the Starter in 3.2L engiens on Audi TT?A:Remove the negative terminal from the battery. Take out the upper and forward engine sound deadening panels. Remove the fuse box bracket from the engine bay. Remove the electrical connectors from the starter solenoid. Detach the positive (B+) cable along with the harness connector from the wiring guide. Remove the wiring guide by unclipping it, take care not to loosen or remove the ground (-) connection. Take off the mounting nut for the power steering line bracket, then rotate the bracket upwards and out of the way. Detach the outer nut and ground (-) wire, and then remove the lower starter mounting bolt. To end, take off the upper starter mounting bolt and starter. Reinstall the starter in the opposite order of its removal and tighten all fasteners.
