What is the safe procedure to remove and install a Rear Shock Absorber on Audi TT?

Raise the vehicle and support it safely, then remove the wheel. Unclip the ABS wheel speed sensor wire from the bracket and open the cover to disconnect the wire. Remove the rear wheel housing liner. Place an engine/transmission jack under the wheel bearing housing and raise it slightly. Remove the upper and lower mounting bolts of the shock absorber, ensuring that the headlight level control linkage on the left side is not over-stretched. Remove the shock absorber. When installing the shock absorber, note that removing the coupling rod may facilitate the installation of the lower shock mounting bolt. Bring the rear subframe into the curb weight position by lowering the vehicle before tightening the bonded rubber bushing mounting bolts. An engine/transmission jack can also be used to carefully raise the rear axle into the curb weight position if the vehicle is on a lift. Failure to return the rear suspension to the curb weight position before tightening the bolts or nuts of bonded rubber bushing suspension parts will result in bushing pre-load, shortening service life and potentially causing noise. Install the upper mounting bolt of the shock absorber, lower the vehicle so the wheel is on the ground, and then install the lower mounting bolt of the shock absorber and the upper mounting bolt of the coupling rod, tightening them to specification.
