Remove the rubber molding from the rear bulkhead of the Engine Compartment and pull the plenum chamber cover forward to remove it. Remove the brake fluid reservoir cap and use a siphon to drain the brake fluid out of the fluid reservoir. For manual transmission vehicles, disconnect and plug the clutch master cylinder supply hose. Disconnect the harness connector for the brake fluid level switch. While working underneath the brake fluid reservoir, disconnect the brake lines at the brake master cylinder and immediately seal the brake lines while plugging the brake fluid ports. Detach the M16 mounting nuts securing the brake master cylinder, and carefully remove the brake master cylinder from the
Brake Booster. When fitting the brake master cylinder, make sure that you use pushrod on brake master cylinder. Then apply slight pressure on the brake pedal so that the pushrod moves towards brake master cylinder. This will make it easier to guide brake master cylinder on pushrod. The brake system has been flushed and bled.
