You can remove the latch in the following manner by removing the inner trim panel of the trunk lid followed by the unconnection of the operating cables in the lock. Draw a marker on the fitted location of the latch, use a screwdriver to take out the retaining nuts and pull the lock unit out of the trunk lid, disconnecting the electrical connector in the process. To install, use the same procedure but make sure to fit the bolt heads using the marks left during removal. Second, remove the operating rod out of the joint by unclipping the plastic connecting it and turning the joint at the same time as removing the rod of the lever. When it is possible, disconnect the wiring to the lock cylinder unit, remove the lock cylinder mounting fastener. Turn the lock 90 degrees to take the lock cylinder out of the handle, and installment is the opposite. Lastly, the trunk lid support struts are taken out just like the hood ones.
