- Q: How to remove and install the horn on Audi A4?A:In models constructed in October 2004 and before, these have two horns that are positioned behind each head light. In order to dismantle the horn, you must remove the Headlight housing and then remove the electrical connector, loosen the fasteners and remove the horn. The removal process is inverted in the installation. In those models that were constructed in November 2004 and thereafter, the horn is attached as a bolt at the end of the front bumper reinforcement bar. In the case of a V6 model, the splash shield at the front of the vehicle can be removed; in the case of a four-cylinder model, the bumper cover can be removed. Unscrew the bolt, unscrew electrical connector, remove fastener and detach the horn. Once more, removal is the opposite to installation.
