Remove the door trim panel, then mark the exact position of the carrier plate in relation to the door panel and unscrew the mounting bolts, two at the front and two at the rear. Unclip the inner door handle cable and remove the carrier plate. Extract the circlip, and remove the washer and pad securing the window support to the regulator. Disconnect the window support and block it in the raised position with a length of wood. Unclip the regulator cable, then unscrew the nuts or bolts and withdraw the regulator. If necessary, remove the window glass from the door. Refitting is a reversal of removal, but adjust the window stop so that the upper edge of the glass is in full contact with the weatherseal, ensuring the weatherseal lip is compressed by at least 0.15 mm (0.02 in), but not excessively. The window stop is located on the centre guide of the regulator.
