Bulbs should always be renewed with ones of identical type and rating. To replace the front sidelight, remove the plastic cover from the rear of the headlamp, disconnect the wiring plug if applicable, pull the bulbholder from the reflector, depress and twist the bulb to remove it, and refitting is a reversal of removal. For front direction indicators on 80 models, turn the bulbholder anti-clockwise to remove it, depress and twist the bulb to remove it, and refitting is a reversal of removal. On 90 and Coupe models, unscrew the cross-head screw to withdraw the front direction indicator lamp, turn the bulbholder anti-clockwise to remove it, depress and twist the bulb to remove it, and refitting is a reversal of removal. For front fog lamps on 80 models, use a screwdriver to prise off the plastic frame, unscrew the cross-head screws, withdraw the foglamp, disconnect the wire, unhook the spring clip, remove the bulb, and ensure proper engagement with the reflector during refitting. On 90 and Coupe models, remove the front direction indicator lamp, unscrew the two cross-head mounting screws, pull out the lamp, disconnect the wiring plug, unhook the wire clip, remove the lamp rear cover, disconnect the wire leading to the bulb, unhook the spring clip, and ensure correct engagement with the reflector during refitting. For the rear lamp cluster on the boot lid of the Saloon, open the bootlid, prise out the plastic cover, turn the bulbholder anti-clockwise to remove it, depress and twist the bulb to remove it, and if necessary, unscrew the retaining nuts. For the rear lamp cluster on the rear side panel of the Saloon, open the bootlid, release the catch, withdraw the bulbholder, depress and twist the bulb to remove it, and if necessary, unscrew the nuts. For the rear lamp cluster on the Coupe, open the bootlid, release the catches, withdraw the bulbholder, depress and twist the bulb to remove it, and refitting is a reversal of removal. To replace the number plate light, open the bootlid or tailgate, unscrew the cross-head screws to remove the lens, depress and twist the bulb to remove it, and ensure the rubber seal is correctly located during refitting. For interior lights, use a small screwdriver to prise the light from the headlining, remove the festoon type bulb from the spring contacts, and ensure the spring contacts are tensioned sufficiently during refitting. For the luggage compartment light, use a screwdriver to prise out the light lens, remove the festoon type bulb from the spring contacts, and ensure the spring contacts are tensioned sufficiently during refitting. For the engine compartment light, squeeze the sides of the lens together to remove it, depress and twist the bulb to remove it, and if necessary, prise the light from the bonnet and disconnect the wiring. For the map reading light on Coupe models, hold the grab handle down, unscrew the cross-head screws, remove the handle and light complete, disconnect the wiring plug, remove the festoon type bulb from the spring contacts, and ensure the spring contacts are tensioned sufficiently during refitting. To replace the side marker lamp, push the lamp rearwards to release it from the location hole, pull the bulbholder from the rear of the lamp, pull out the wedge type bulb from the bulbholder, and refitting is a reversal of removal. For the glovebox illumination lamp, remove the glovebox, pull the switch/bulbholder from its housing, depress and twist the bulb to remove it, and refitting is a reversal of removal. For facia switch illumination, prise the cover from the switch with a screwdriver, remove the wedge type bulb using a piece of tubing, press the new bulb firmly into position, and refit the cover. For instrument panel illumination, remove the instrument panel, turn the bulbholder with a screwdriver until the retainers are aligned with the cut-outs in the printed circuit board, remove the bulbholder, and where applicable, pull out the wedge type bulb, with refitting being a reversal of removal. For heater control illumination, remove the heater control knobs and surround panel, remove the bulbholder from its retaining clip, push and twist the bulb to remove it, and refitting is a reversal of removal.
