Prise up the covers and unscrew the nuts securing the wiper arms to the spindles, then carefully lever off the wiper arms. Unscrew the spindle bearing nuts and remove the rubber spacers, followed by disconnecting the battery negative lead. Unscrew the wiper frame mounting bolt and withdraw the linkage assembly while disconnecting the wiring from the motor, then remove the wiper motor from the frame. Prise the pushrods from the spindle arms, and if the spindle bearings are to be removed, saw off the rivets; after fitting the new bearings, clinch the new rivets onto the wiper frame. For refitting, reverse the removal process, applying a little molybdenum disulphide grease in the pushrod ball sockets. Before fitting the wiper arms in their parked position, switch on the ignition and run the wiper motor for a short period before switching it off.
