Remove the front suspension strut, then take out the cross-headed screw and tap the brake disc from the hub. Next, remove the screws and withdraw the splash guard. Support the wheel bearing housing with the hub facing downward, and press or drive out the hub using a suitable mandrel; the bearing inner race will remain on the hub, making it impossible to re-use the bearing. Use a puller to extract the inner race from the hub. After that, extract the circlips, and while supporting the wheel bearing housing, press or drive out the bearing using a mandrel on the outer race. Clean the recess in the housing and apply a little general-purpose grease. Fit the outer circlip, then support the wheel bearing housing and press or drive in the new bearing using a metal tube on the outer race only. Fit the inner circlip, ensuring it is correctly seated. Position the hub with its bearing shoulder facing upward, then press or drive on the bearing and housing using a metal tube on the inner race only. Finally, reassemble the splash guard and brake disc, followed by refitting the front suspension strut.
