To take the lock mechanism off, open the boot lid, disconnect the battery negative terminal first. Then loosen up and take out the retaining screws, then take off the inner trim of the boot lid and do it with great care. Unscrew the retaining clips and screw the operating rods off the lock and then unscrew the wiring connector of the lock switch. Installed retaining nuts can be unscrewed and the lock assembly moved into position. In the case of the lock cylinder housing, loosen the retaining clips and remove the operating rods and follow the wiring out of the housing and unhook it at the connector, making care not to leave the wiring in the housing. Unscrew the holding nuts and take out the lock cylinder assembly out of the boot lid. Refitting would be required, so would reversing the steps of removal, but making sure that the lock assembly is operating, and that the central locking actuator is operational prior to installing the trim panel.
