The plastic covers fitted to the underside of the vehicle are secured by a mixture of screws, nuts, and retaining clips, making their removal fairly straightforward upon inspection. Methodically work around the panel, removing its retaining screws and releasing the clips until it is free. Most clips can be prised out, while others may require unscrewing or prising out the center pins before removal. When refitting, replace any broken retaining clips and ensure the panel is securely held by all relevant clips and screws. Body trim strips and badges are attached with special adhesive tape, necessitating heating to soften the adhesive before cutting them away from the surface. Given the high risk of damaging the vehicle's paintwork during this process, it is advisable to have this task performed by an AudiA/AG dealer.
