How to remove and install a heater core on 2006 Audi A4?

Remove the engine covers, disconnect the battery, and drain the cooling system. Mark and disconnect the heater hoses; replace if necessary. Remove the knee bolster and heater core cover, protecting the carpet. Drain coolant from the heater core, then pull it from the housing. Reinstall in reverse order and check operation.
