Switch off all electric consumers and remove the ignition key. Make sure the light switch is off and open the back lid. Using a screwdriver, depress the locating tabs and remove the luggage compartment light. To remove the luggage compartment light, simply pull it out away from the trim opening, and disconnect the electrical harness connector before closing the rear lid. When taking off the center brake light cover, unclip it from in front to the rear of the vehicle. Do not unclip from the rear to the front which may cause damage. Take out the mounting bolts and remove the brake light assembly, guiding the wiring harness through the body opening. If the socket is defective, you must change the entire socket as there is no availability of separate bulbs. Replace the part in the reverse order to removal, ensuring to route the wiring harness through the body opening into the luggage compartment and reconnect the harness at the luggage compartment light, check the operation of the centre brake light, and tighten the mounting screws to specification.
