Pull out the adjustable steering column as far as possible and center the steering wheel in a straight-ahead position. Disconnect the negative battery cable and cover the battery terminal to prevent accidental contact. Remove the driver's airbag, then take out the steering wheel. Next, remove the left side under-dash panel and then the steering angle sensor along with the steering column switches. Disconnect the electrical harness connector from the ignition electrical switch, remove locking fluid from the mounting screw holes, loosen the mounting screws slightly, and pull the ignition electrical switch out of the steering lock housing. Install in reverse order of removal, ensuring the ignition switch is in the on position and applying locking fluid to the mounting screws.
