The Hood sound absorber gets secured with 18 clips. Squeeze the clips to remove the panel from the hood. When the hood is closed the stop buffers must be in light contact with the latch carrier. They can be adjusted by threading in or out to vary the hood height. Reword the following (21 words): The impact absorbing rubber buffer must not be in contact when the hood is in the closed position. To remove and install the lower hood latch, you must release the latch cable and remove four bolts that hold the latch to the car. To adjust the hood, the lower part of the latch should be moved up or down in the required direction. Then, install the hood latch in the reverse order and tighten the bolts to 10 Nm. To install the gas-charged strut, support the hood and keep it open and use a small screwdriver to pry the retaining clip out part way, then pull the gas-charged strut off the ball stud at the lower mount repeating this process at the upper connection.
