To provide access, unbolt the left drive axle from the transmission and move it out of the way. Take off transmission heat shield assembly. If necessary, unscrew the left transmission support bolts and take it off with the transmission mounting. Detach the bolt and extract the slave cylinder from the rear. To remove the pipe, use a screwdriver to lever out the retaining clip until it comes out with an audible 'click', allowing for the pipe to pull out. Before installation of the slave cylinder on the transmission housing, apply lithium grease on the area of the collar, and also apply copper grease on the tip of the push rod. Insert the clutch slave cylinder into the mount hole in the transmission housing; keep it in line with the direction of operation of the push rod and tighten the bolt. To attach the pipe to the slave cylinder, compress the retaining clip to the maximum distance inwards and push the pipe into the slave cylinder until an audible engagement is emitted. Reinstall the drive axle and heat shield, reattach the transmission support and transmission mount if modified, and bleed the clutch system.
