In order to take the interior mirror out of its place, turn the interior mirror 60-90 degrees until the retaining spring is disengaged, and then pull the mirror off its retaining bracket at an angle. In the case of vehicles that have an automatic mirror, the cover will be unclipped, then removed by loosening a wiring harness and a mirror connector and 90-degree rotation of the mirror to take it out. To install, position the mirror position 90 degrees of the installed position, ensure that the mirror is connected with the retaining plate then turn the mirror clockwise until it snaps into position. In case an automatic mirror is provided, fit the wiring harness, mirror connector and trim cover. To remove the exterior mirror, open the door, then cautiously remove the trim cover on the door followed by removing the mirror mounting fasteners and then harness, pushing it through a door hole. Unplug the electric connector of the mirror and pull it out. Installation is the opposite of removal.
