To take out the front car seat belt, disconnection of the car battery negative lead precedes. In the case of 5-door models, remove upper and lower trim panels of the B-pillar, unscrew and pull out the seat belt lower anchor mounting bolt then remove the belt off the floor. Then screw the mounting bolt off to take the inertia reel out of the bottom of the B-pillar and unsecern the wiring. Before the removal of the seat belt assembly, remove the belt guide on the B-pillar, and unscrew the B-pillar bolt on the height adjuster that attaches the seat belt upper anchor. To take out the adjustment of height of the belt, unscrew the securing bolt and pull it out of the pillar upwards. In the case of 3-door models, one should first strip the corresponding rear seat, backrest, then the sill panel molding, and side panel trims. Take out the upper trim panel of the B-pillar, unscrew the bolts attaching the anchor rail to the sill, and slide the rail out of the end of the seat belt. Where applicable, unlock the locking clip and unhook the wiring connector to the inertia reel, undo the mounting bolt screw and remove the reel out of the pillar. Unscrewing the bolt that attaches the seat belt upper anchor to the height adjuster at the B-pillar and removing the assembly of the seat belts. To take out the adjustment of height of the belt, unscrew the securing bolt and pull it out of the pillar upwards. To remove front seat belt stalk, remove front seat assembly, unscrew and pull out the bolt on stalk that is holding it to the seat, and then pull out the stalk. To take off rear seat side belt in 5 door models, take off rear seat cushion, side panel trim, luggage compartment cover side support, roof frame trim and trim on C-pillar. Loosen the belt of the floor anchorage, (and when provided), loose the locking clip, and the wiring connector of the inertia reel, unscrew the mounting bolt and remove the reel of the pillar. In 3-door ones, take out the rear seat cushion and backrest, unclips the sill inner trim panel, unclips the plastic cover, unscrews the retaining screw in the front and back of the side trim panel, and takes away the luggage compartment side trim. To access the belt anchor, unscrew the bolt at the floor, remove the insulation cover, unscrew the mounting bolt, then pull the reel out of the body panel, and release the locking clip and detach wiring connector to the inertia reel, when present. To remove rear center seat belt and buckle, remove rear seat cushion and backrest, un screw and remove the bolt attaching center belt or buckle assembly to the floor and then remove it out of the car. To change the inertia reel, insert the belt guide on the top of the backrest, prise the seat catch trim on the top of the backrest, and proceed to lift the molding along the edge of the backrest. Unfold the seat cover and padding and pull it upwards until the mounting bolt is loosened, unbolt the inertia reel and remove it, and where necessary push the legs at each side of the headrest guides out through the top of the seat back. Take the backrest out of the seat, undo the screws, and take away the seat catch. Refitting is equivalent to the process of removal, making sure that all seat belt units are in place, and mounting bolts are tightened to the required spot, all trim panels are properly held in place by the corresponding retaining clips and height adjustment levers snap into the correct position with the head of the seat belt upper mounting bolt.
