In order to take off the horn pad on the center of the steering wheel, it is necessary to take off the top and bottom of the pad carefully so as not to snap the plastic holding claws. Once the horn wiring has been disconnected, pull off the pad. Position the front wheels straight ahead; and the direction indicator lever in the neutral or off position. Align the steering wheel and inner column against each other, unscrew and take away the retaining nut and washer keeping the steering wheel on the spot. Restrict the steering wheel out of the inner column splines and get the steering wheel to swing side to side, in case it fits tightly. When refitting, reverse the procedure of the removal, and position the already drawn marks so that the retaining nut goes to the correct torque with the direction indicator lever in neutral to avoid damaging the switch arm.
