Remove the door trim panel. For the electrically-operated side view mirrors, turn the mirror to expose the retaining screws, unscrew them, disconnect the wiring, and withdraw the mirror from the door, with refitting being a reversal of removal. For the manually-operated side view mirrors, mark the exact position of the window regulator carrier plate in relation to the door panel, remove the front bolts, loosen the rear bolts, and move the carrier plate slightly forwards. Release the clip to remove the adjusting head and cables from the carrier plate, then turn the mirror to expose the retaining screws, unscrew them, and withdraw the mirror from the door. The mirror glass can be renewed separately by prising it out with a thin strip of plastic or wood; when fitting the new glass, press it onto the guide pins using a wad of cloth in the center of the mirror. Refitting is a reversal of removal, but if necessary, adjust by centralizing the mirror to ensure it is parallel to the housing. Pull off the control knobs, turn screw 'Al' clockwise until slight resistance is felt, then turn screw 'All' anti-clockwise until slight resistance is felt. Adjust screw 'Bl' anti-clockwise, then screw 'BI' clockwise in the same manner, and finally, refit the control knobs.
