How to safely remove and install a differential assembly on 2006 Audi A4?

Lift the back of the car and make it steady on jack stands, keeping the front wheels blocked so that they do not roll. Eliminate the exhaust system rear. Remove the bolts that hold the inner CV joints in place with respect to the drive flanges and remove the retaining plates beneath the bolts, being careful not to drop the driveaxles. Unbolt the driveshaft out of the differential pinion flange, and elevate it off the underbody by using wire or rope, making sure that it is not hanging so it does not damage the U-joint. Take the heat shield off the top of the driveshaft. Prop the differential up on a jack, ideally a transaxle jack, with safety chains, or place a floor jack on it with care to ensure that the assembly does not tip over. Unscrew the front and rear mounting brackets of the differential assembly and with some help, so as not to drop the differential assembly, carefully lower and remove the differential assembly under the vehicle. The process of installation is the opposite of de-installation, which is to tighten all the screws to the required torque values and make sure the amount of lubricant in the back part of the diff is at the correct level, and add more as needed to achieve the right level.
