How to remove and reinstall the center console on 2006 Audi A4?

Pry out the rear ashtray and disconnect electrical connectors. Remove the rear switch mount and disconnect connectors. Lift the armrest out, disconnecting the phone harness if present. Remove the parking brake trim cover and shift cover. Remove radio, air conditioning control, and fasteners. Withdraw the console, disconnect wiring, and remove. Reinstall in reverse order.
