  • Q: How to remove and refit the front Crankshaft Timing Gear and Timing Belt for Five-cylinder engines on 1988 Audi 90?
    A: Disconnect the battery, disconnect the power steering pump and alternator drivebelt and remove the radiator grille to take out the engine components. Install Audi tools to tighten and loosen crankshaft bolt, remove vibration damper and timing belt. Install parts back together, and provide adequate tension to the timing belt and alignment, then recheck settings as final step to refitting the covers.
